Bangor Hockey Club aims to provide all Men & Ladies in the Bangor area who are 15 and over the opportunity to play hockey.

Following on from the 2022/23 season’s successes, including the Mens 1st XI Team qualifying for the EY2 League the Mens 3s winning promotion back into Junior 3, and both 3s teams winning cups the club now fields 12 senior teams (6 men & 6 ladies) that will play in the following UH leagues for the 2023/24 hockey season:

Mens:

• 1st XI : UH Premier League
• 2nd XI : UH Junior 1 League
• 3rd XI: UH Junior 2 League
• 4th XI: UH Junior 3 League
• 5th XI: UH Junior 5 League
• 6th XI: UH Junior 5 League

Ladies:

• 1st XI : UH Senior 2
• 2nd XI : UH Junior 5
• 3rd XI: UH Junior 7
• 4th XI: UH Junior 9A
• 5th XI: UH Junior 9C
• 6th XI: UH Junior 9C

At the other end of the scale is the newest ladies senior team “Bangor Benchwarmers”. A purely social team for Veteran hockey players i.e. over 35 (no upper limit!). No training required, hockey experience not essential and with matches roughly once per month (a small membership fee to cover insurance and then pay as you play) against other similar Vets sides. So if you fancy a bit of exercise and a lot of craic then get in touch.

Season 2022/23 Subscriptions 

• Full Men’s Member – £235
• Full Ladies Member – £200
• All Students 15+ – £150*
• Ladies Veteran Member – £50**
• Men’s Restricted Member – £100 (Max 7 matches)

*All Students (15+) cover schoolboys, college and/or university students

**Max 8 sessions pre-Christmas with a further £50 due post-Christmas & £5 levy per game

We would ask all Senior Club members (including new members wishing to join) to log into the Spond App – this will be the primary method of communication & subscription payments.
